Job Description

iboss is looking for a talented and experienced Systems Administrator to join the iboss team. The Systems Administrator is responsible for configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise servers (Windows, Linux, etc.) and employee resources (email, file/print, Active Directory, etc). Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper functionality of all enterprise Microsoft Windows and Linux servers
  • Administrate Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related systems
  • Manage Office 365 licenses, accounts, and security incidents
  • Maintain proper network documentation for enterprise systems
  • Provide recommendations for improving system operations and execute plans accordingly
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), wireless, and other systems
  • Maintain daily performance of all computer systems
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software as needed
  • Respond to email/telephone/instant messages for customers seeking help, and follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
  • Maintain inventory for all hardware and software assets
  • Provide Tier 2 technical assistance (via phone, email, or in person) and support for incoming helpdesk queries and issues related to computer systems, employee resources, software, and hardware
  • Walk customers through problem-solving process with a friendly, helpful, and positive attitude
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems, such as slowness, virus, malware, etc

Qualifications

  • 3+ years supporting Microsoft Windows & and Linux servers in a corporate environment
  • 3+ years supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related systems
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, Linux, etc., as it relates to configuration, administration, & troubleshooting
  • 3+ years supporting Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac’s in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN as it relates to TCP/IP, IP addresses, subnet masks, default gateways, etc
  • Ability to maintain proper time-management of daily tasks & projects and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Friendly and willingness to help with all computer-related issues
  • Enterprise experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Process & detailed oriented
  • Demonstrate ability to create & update documentation in Microsoft Visio
  • Must be able to work autonomously under minimal supervision and direction
  • Self-starter mentality
  • Ability and desire to learn new hardware and software
  • Familiar with basic peripherals such as telephones, wireless keyboards/mice, Bluetooth headsets, docking stations
